What is a personal trainer?
Wikipedia offers the following definition.
“A personal trainer is a fitness professional who develops and implements an individualized approach to physical fitness, generally working one-on-one with a client. A trainer may help an individual assess their level of physical fitness and help them work toward a personal fitness goal through proper exercise instruction and personal motivation. The scope of practice for personal trainers is to enhance the components of fitness for the general, healthy population.”
What is it exactly that you do?
Our goal as a personal trainers is to help you achieve whatever goals you set for yourself. Along the way we hope to educate you, and help your body rediscover its native fitness. We will work together to build a FOUNDATION OF FUNCTION, and re-train your body to move synergistically.
We will provide you with information and support, and all you need to bring is commitment and effort. All of these things combined will allow you to do anything you set your mind to.
Along the way we will record your workouts and results so that we can measure your progress, and we will give you the variety and challenge you need to stay motivated.
How much will it cost?
The rates for Personal Training will vary depending on how many times per week you’d like to train, and for how long each time. Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque or Direct Debit and we will be happy to work out a payment plan if that suits you best! We would recommend contacting us to discuss options – call, text or send an e-mail and we will reply within 24 hours.
Where will we train?
We currently work out of Re-creation Health Club in both Glen Iris and Armadale, but can come to you if you’d prefer to train at home or we can meet and train at a park near your house. Having the option to train in the gym, at home, or in a nearby park means there are no longer any excuses not to get started straight away. If we come to you we can bring everything we will need, and if we train in the gym we will have access to world class facilities (and not have to worry about the rain!).
What if I can’t make it to a session?
Your accountability to attend sessions is vital to your achieving results. For this reason we have a 24 hour cancellation period, and you will be charged for your session if you give less that 24 hours notice.
Will i get results?
Your ability to get results will come down to a balanced equation of inputs and outputs.
EXERCISE + NUTRITION + EFFORT = RESULTS
You will see that our influence only extends to 1/3 of this equation (exercise) and we will give 110% of our time and effort to ensuring we do the right kinds and quantities of exercises to help you achieve your goals. We offer nutritional advice and can direct you towards more fantastic information on nutrition if necessary. You will find that 70% of your results will come directly from what you put in your mouth. The amount of effort you are willing to put in will correlate directly with the results you will get.. Work out how badly you want to achieve your goals and apply the right amount of effort accordingly to see them come to fruition.
